DESCRIPTION:Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) will be hosting our 5th annual Chainsaw Safety Workshop. Traditionally\, this course has been for women-only\, but this year\, we are opening it to all! We heard your requests and are answering the call!\n\nThis is a 2-day training that will be held at PCSWCD's Williamsburg Forest\, Williamsburg\, ME on Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st\, from 9AM-4PM. This is a hands-on training\, so all PPE - chaps\, boots (steel toe recommended)\, gloves\, head\, ear and eye protection (forestry helmet) - are needed\, along with a chainsaw. Topic covered will include saw maintenance\, operation\, basic cuts and felling. This course is capped at 8 participants\, so early registration is recommended.
