DESCRIPTION:Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) will be hosting our 6th annual Chainsaw Safety Workshop. This year\, we are offering an Intermediate Level class for folks who have completed a 2-day training (PCSWCD training or elsewhere) and want to improve on their chainsaw skills!\n\nThis is a 1-day training that will be held at PCSWCD's Williamsburg Forest\, Williamsburg\, ME on Saturday September 28th (RD 9/29) from 9-3:30PM. This is a hands-on training\, so all PPE - chaps\, boots (steel toe recommended)\, gloves\, head\, ear and eye protection (forestry helmet) - are needed\, along with a chainsaw. Topics covered will include spring poles\, pinched saws\, hang ups and other proper cutting practices. This course is capped at 6 participants\, so early registration is recommended.
