DESCRIPTION:Monson's Kris Kringle's Market will celebrate its 40th Anniversary on Saturday\, December7\, 2024 from 9 am - 3pm at the Monson Gym. \n\n \n\nKris Kringle's Market will open with a variety of crafts\, such as wooden items\, jewelry\, homemade food\, knitted items\, wreaths\, plus more. The Market will also feature Maine's children's author\, Angeli Perrow. She is the author of 24 books\, including the picture book classic "Lighth ouse Dog to the Rescue" and the award winning "Many Hands" as well as the popular Key Mystery Series for 8 - 12 year olds and the Celtic Trilogy for age 12 and up. She will be selling her books prior to being available to read and meet with children and th eir families at the Monson Library. \n\n \n\nThe Market committee will be serving lunch starting at 11 am. \n\nAll entries for the annual Gingerbread House Competition must be at the gym by 10 am. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three creative and well - crafted entries. A holiday village will be created with the entries and the theme for this year's competition is a "Classic Holiday Wonderland". Gingerbread contest rules are available on the Town of Monson website. \n\n \n\nThe Kris Kringle committee will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets. Door prizes will be awarded hourly.
