Piscataquis County offers many memorable events, fairs and festivals throughout the year. Events kick-off in the spring with the Annual (Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis-sponsored) Piscataquis River Race from Guilford to Dover-Foxcroft. June ushers in warmer weather and festivals such as Milo’s Black Fly Festival and Dover-Foxcroft’s beloved Whoopie Pie Festival (penned “Maine’s Sweetest Festival”), followed by the Piscataquis RiverFestival, held in Guilford in July. Right before the start of the new school year, families and children can enjoy the Piscataquis County Fair, held on the fairgrounds in Dover Foxcroft.
Thompson Free Library Presents: A Christmas Tree Story Walk
Ms. Michelle put a story walk at Halls Christmas Tree Farm in Sangerville. Feel free to enjoy this fun walk Nov. 19th through the last day that Hall's Christmas Tree Farm is open in December.
Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church: Christmas Kraft Fair for Kids
Come join us for a fun Christmas tradition! Kids up to age twelve can purchase gifts for their family, and each gift is only 25¢! Gift wrapping, snacks, ornament making are also available at no cost. All kids, and their grown-ups, are welcome!!
Annual Holiday Open House at Glass Paradox
Our annual Holiday Open House is always the 2nd Saturday in December. The studio is open to the public for shopping and light refreshments. In addition to the artware on my website, in shops and at shows, you'll find unique items designed specifically for the studio event, lots of Holiday themed styles and perhaps even a few gift sets packaged and ready for gift giving.
